Minnesota, Museums, Zoos, & More

A short text with lots of pictures update Short version: we went to Minnesota to visit the Schahl's, went to Brookfield Zoo with Doug, Chris, and Emily and had a playdate with the Hellman's. Here goes. Just checking out Carly's fun hat.
Getting some much needed therapy in Minnesota.
Did you ever wonder where I got my awesome skills at wardrobe selection...guess you know now.
Daddy loves to read to us girls.
Carly really likes my Daddy.
I helped Molly put this hat on, and she really liked it.
Relaxing in the morning watching cartoons. We like to be lazy.
More story time, and again Carly really likes my dad.
At the Minnesota Children's Museum. Very cool place to visit.
Serious face painting time.
Don't you just love my new look.
I was teaching these boys how to play to put these things on the artwork. They played very nicely with me.
Water play was a blast.
Doing some great artwork, and making a mess, very fun.
It was an exhausting day. I fell asleep in the car within minutes.
Carly took a lot longer to fall asleep, but eventually the backseat was very quiet while Mom and Aunt Kim talked.
Time for a tea party. We had several tea parties while we were visiting.
Dad made this cool chain for our Disney countdown. Every day mom reads us a new Disney trivia fact from it.

Headed into Brookfield Zoo. It was perfect weather for the zoo, not too hot, not too cold, and just a few raindrops throughout.

Our daddies really like us!

Emily loves to give me hugs. I wonder if we'll always like each other this much.

See how tall we all are. Mom says it's not actually accurate because it's on a slant and she is definitely taller than 5 feet.

Can you find mom and I in this picture, it's very tricky.

Emily and I dressed up as birds in the play zoo area and then we worked on taking care of our eggs.

I also got to water the plants. I couldn't figure out how to use the spray bottle until I was facing Brian Sass, and then I sprayed him. Mom and Dad thought it was hilarious, I'm not sure Sass did.

They even had an area where you could pretend to be a vet. Dad and I took care of this sick alligator.

Oh this poor owl had some wing damage and I had to bandage him up.

The zoo had face painting too. I'm getting very good at this now, two weeks in a row. This time I decided not only to paint my face, but also mom's. She was a willing participant.

I am a very good makeup artist.

You can't tell, but most of mom's facepaint is along the back of her cheeks, it was very nicely done if I do say so myself.

We went to the petting zoo area too, but most of the animals were inside because of the drizzle. I still had fun though.

It was another exhausting day. I was asleep before we hit the highway, so was mom.

The other night mom decided to switch out my summer/winter clothes and she and dad were cleaning out my closet. I did have my pajamas on, but then decided I really wanted to wear these overalls.

Last Sunday we went to St. Charles to have a playdate with the Hellman's. We went to the park, walked along the river and went ot to dinner. Kayleigh and I were having so much fun we wouldn't stop for pictures. This is the best one Mom could get. We also found out kayleigh is going to be a big sister so that means another kid for us to play with.

Well that's it for now. We're headed to Dixon this weekend for Ellie's graduation from 8th grade and all my cousins will be there so I'm sure there will be more fun pictures.

I want to dress, the way I want to dress

If you haven't heard I am a VERY independent and strong-willed toddler. This morning I really wanted to wear a winter hat and heavier jacket. Mom tried to talk me into a summer hat and spring jacket, but I was hearing none of it. So I WIN! On my way to daycare in my dress, jacket and big huge winter hat (of course on backwards, much more fun that way)

Don't you just love the hat! We're headed to Minnesota on Thursday to visit the Schahls and Daddy said it's supposed to be 20 degrees below normal there, I heard 20 degrees below zero and I was preparing.

Bubbles can be very dangerous, you must wear your bicycle helmet to protect yourself.

Walking can also be very dangerous. Funny thing is I hate wearing this helmet when we go for bike rides, go figure.

Mom and Dad have been teaching me to smell the flowers, and Dad has such a nice garden that there is lots of pretty flowers to smell.

A wash your hands dance in our house. I think Mom looks ridiculous, but I have moves!
